For our Coffee + Art v3 , we teamed up with Lorna Farrell.

Lorna is a watercolour artist from Co.Westmeath. Having grown up in the countryside, she has a love of birds, animals and the great outdoors. She specialises in pet portraits and her quirky, colourful pieces have been purchased in the USA, Saudi Arabia,  Australia and across the Emerald Isle. Award -winning restaurant Thyme in Athlone, commissioned a series of paintings, each representing and celebrating  a different local food supplier in 2019
- a subject Lorna feels passionate about.

She has exhibited in the Luan Gallery Athlone, Portumna Castle gallery in Co Galway and various cafés and shops.

She paints in her wooden studio at the bottom of her garden, surrounded by birdsong and aided by her two cats.

This coffee comes from two families of coffee producers in the district of San Jose de Lourdes. The average farm size in this area is 1-2 hectares, and the main varieties grown are Caturra and Pache. The growers behind this lot are Marcial Olivera Diaz and the Chilcon Family. San Jose de Lourdes has a very distinct climate compared to other districts in Jaén and San Ignacio. It is much cooler and receives higher rainfall, contributing to a unique cup profile with notable citrus notes and a rare buttery characteristic.
